Its funny how things are revealed with time, and every comment or question has a hidden agenda. When I first announced that I was testing Nyx for DM, I was questioned by a fellow breeder were they still doing that test as there had been 2 false positives in hundreds of dogs that had been tested. I said they were and proceeded to get her test results back as Negative for DM. I come to find out all this time later that this fellow breeder, not only tested their own dog but had bred with a dog who tested as a Carrier for the DM gene. These folks now have a litter on the ground, I guess all the testing in the world is OK, until you receive a result you dont like, then instead of questioning your breeding plans,question the reliability of the test. Makes it much easier to do what you want and justify it to yourself. Sounds ethical to me. If you dont mind breeding a carrier for DM to a non DM carrier, please dont feel the need to question my health testing my dogs! Caveat emptor. Look into what your buying folks!
