Its hard to believe Robin has been in Arkansas for over two months - TopicsExpress

Its hard to believe Robin has been in Arkansas for over two months now (11 weeks to be exact). I was looking back at some of my journaling over the past nine months, and its just mind-boggling how far shes come. When I get discouraged at how far she still has to go, its good to have those milestones written down. (If you dont journal, I highly recommend it. Ive done it since I was a kid.) I remember being overwhelmed the first day she opened one eye at The Med, and the day she whispered I love you back to me at Shepherd Center. And the first time she sang You Are My Sunshine with me since the accident. Today she brought up her cousin Tori, the Brittains (Karen Hutchison Brittain), and Miss KB (Karen Barker) all on her own, so shes definitely having more flashes of memory. Her responses are becoming more and more appropriate to the conversation, as well. The other day I said something about her sister, and she said, Which one, Valerie or Abby? That was pretty cool! And shell ask what Daniel is up to, or Jack, or Whats everybody doing at home? She loves to talk about AnnaPagie. I miss my daughter so much its not even funny. Shes MINE?!? Oh my gosh!! Sometimes its like Gods mercies - new every morning. ;) We still dont know when shell be back in Humboldt, or what that will look like. I feel like were in limbo. Praying for direction, knowing theres a plan but not knowing what it is yet, therefore not knowing what to do to get ready for it. Im reminded of Babbie Masons song Trust His Heart: All things work for our good Though sometimes we cant see how they could Struggles that break our hearts in two Sometimes blind us to the truth Our Father knows whats best for us His ways are not our own So when your pathway grows dim And you just cant see Him, Remember youre never alone God is too wise to be mistaken God is too good to be unkind So when you dont understand When you dont see His plan When you cant trace His hand Trust His Heart He sees the master plan He holds the future in His hand, So dont live as those who have no hope, All our hope is found in Him. We see the present clearly But He sees the first and last And like a tapestry Hes weaving you and me, To someday be just like Him God is too wise to be mistaken God is too good to be unkind So when you dont understand When you dont see His plan When you cant trace His hand Trust His Heart He alone is faithful and true He alone knows what is best for you When you dont understand When you dont see His plan When you cant trace His hand Trust His Heart Love yall for sticking with us and standing in the gap. We know God is always there, but I love how He uses people with skin on to encourage us along the way.
