Its interesting how the Farmers Almanac and other folk knowledge type of sources consistently do better at long range weather forecasting than science does. Its a classic case of non-linear dynamics, or too many moving parts (variables) to accurately model. Were speaking of present times of course, not extrapolating current trends and projecting forward a couple of decades. Growing with the lunar cycle is also real, and easy to demonstrate with the evidence of your senses. The waxing moon is the best time for planting just before the full moon. The waning moon, or fourth quarter if you will, is the best time to harvest, transplant, and prune. A thumbnail synopsis for certain. It gets more complicated, depending on which type of plants are being grown and so forth. Still, the basic principles are easy to observe and (independently) confirm. Anyone who doubts this clearly has zero real growing experience, or simply hasnt been paying attention. Thats OK. I used to be in the same position.
