Its late, Im procrastinating, so here goes. Ten novels that have had a big impact on me, in no order and as they spring to mind: 1. Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut 2. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro 3. Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson 4. Blood Meridian, or The Evening Redness in the West by Cormac McCarthy 5. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold by John le Carre 6. The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter 7. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov 8. The Turn of the Screw by Henry James 9. Maus by Art Spiegelman (Im including a graphic novel, live with it) 10. 1984 by George Orwell (Obvious I know, but I cant lie about it) Im not necessarily saying theyre the best Ive ever read, or even necessarily my favourites, but theyre the ones that sprang to mind.
