Its long past time for Israel to vacate the Palestinian Territory it has occupied since 1967 and for the UN to recognize Palestine as a nation and as a member of the UN. The U.S. has said it will not support a UN Security Council Resolution requiring Israel to vacate Palestinian Territories by 2017. However, the U.S. has not said yet that it will use its Security Council privilege to veto such a measure, and could abstain from the vote, allowing the measure to pass. Israels Prime Minister Netanyahu has lost the confidence of the Obama administration.
