Its my last morning in Nicaragua, time has come to return to the states for the summer…feeling very bittersweet. Waiting for the tide to fill in while drinking coffee and watching the ocean and thinking. Seems appropriate that every time Ive flown into Nica its a New Moon and every time Ive left its been a direct Full Moon. Im FULL with gratitude for this life and this experience over the past 7 months. Teaching yoga at Rise Up Surf Nicaragua was such a gift. My practice as a teacher has deepened and Im connected to teaching on a whole new level. So inspired by Nicaragua, surfing, the ocean, surf/yoga lifestyle, and our guests who came from all over the world to share their practice and waves. So many lessons learned. So much Spanish (not fluent but I can get my point across, however I do tend to mix up words-oh you want your coffee black and dead? muerte vs. fuerte). So many new friends. So many hip and shoulder openers. So many dance parties (I anticipate my Nica playlist on repeat for the next few days/weeks). So much inspiration in this country where anything can be done. So much more to do to help this country develop and have access to basic needs like clean water. THANK YOU to everyone who donated $ for water filters and everyone that I worked with to help distribute them to the families most in need. Nicaragua, it breaks my heart to leave but I will be back soon. Happy FULL Moon.
