Its nostalgia night for me I guess...Been thinking about the day my Dad decided he was too tired to go on, the days we spent together, building a business, raising a family, the evenings we floated on Horseshoe lake fishing, the day we got that horrible phone call telling us wed never see our son again. I think about the days when Karen and I were young and just the touch of her, just a kiss would light my entire body on fire. I think of the first time I saw my baby girl and how I cried, how I was too afraid to pick something that fragile up. I think of the days, months, years, of my sons riding next to me in my truck, the talks I had with them, teaching them to be true, honest, honorable men. And I think...I havent been all the places that my friends have been, but Ive lived an exraordinary life. A life with many stories and many miles. I could have done without the pain but Im thankful for the life.
