Its not a handout if that credit is just one, small part of a complex, multi-layered relationship (both commercial and military) that is mutually beneficial to both countries on many different levels. I hate to burst your prejudiced little bubble, but Israel doesnt need the charity of the USA, or the rest of the world for that matter. And that makes you angry, whereas the fact that the Palestinian leadership steals virtually every dollar and cent that it receives in aid, doesnt. The myopic mindset of the average Israel hater is actually a big part of the problem, because its the flip-side of the cult of victimhood which surrounds all things Palestinian, and which actually does the Palestinian cause no favours in the longterm. In the 50s, 60s and 70s, Israel had to account for every cent that it received from third parties. If the Palestinians want their own state, isnt it time that they were treated in the same way? Or will they always be afforded special victim status and exonerated from any meaningful scrutiny? ( Copied)
