Its not every day that stuff on Facebook sets me off QUITE this much. But every now and then I see things that make me wish the planet was hit by a meteor and destroyed. People always tell me not to generalise and not to stereotype. But why is it that every time I see depravity like this its some Asian country like #China or #Thailand or #Korea or #Japan ? what is it about making animals suffer that these countries enjoy? - frying fish while theyre still alive (youtu.be/wtrJV0iqkDk?t=41s), - cutting up live frogs and eating their beating hearts (youtu.be/W3WCcD7iJHo?t=21s), - boiling dogs while theyre still alive (itisnotreal.blogspot.au/2013/02/petitioning-mr.html), - skinning animals alive (features.peta.org/ChineseFurFarms/) - doing THIS to an Octopus I KNOW its not everyone! I KNOW! but dont tell me its a one off or its just some people because its busy restaurants, its entire strips of busy restaurants, its TV shows, its every single person that walks past the cruelty and doesnt flinch, its whole communities that think this is OK. Dont even get me started on their traditional medicine ingredients. and dont even talk to me about beautiful traditions and culture - its fu@kin hell on earth is what it is. The laughter in this particular video turns my stomach. And while people say to me Its their culture Gaspar! Dont be racist. You cant judge other peoples way of life, and while everyone pussy-foots around it and doesnt say anything because its politically incorrect, this cruelty is perpetuated across these countries. Children are brought up being NUMBED to suffering. I know there is animal cruelty in every country, but the dirtiest most sadistic shit always seems to come from these same places. For crying out loud, theyre not even motivated by money or greed, its just causing pain for the SAKE of causing pain (because these sick people believe that fear and pain causes adrenaline which makes the meat taste better). Maybe if as a PLANET we have the courage to point fingers and shame countries or religions or cultures that spread this EVIL then leaders and decision makers will be pushed to make change. But it will never happen, because oh youre a racist, oh you cant say that about someones religion, oh you cant judge people just because they have different beliefs as you. I feel so bad for the animal in this video. This is the stuff that gives me nightmares. I dont know how much pain its feeling, I dont know how aware it is of whats happening, but I know that as an intelligent evolved ANIMAL, we should be better than that. and my point is... that generally speaking, civilised countries like Australia ARE better...
