Its not everyday you get to spend sometime with a legend! Certainly not a #HallOfFamer in space research but it was our incredeble good fortune to have one such Superman of Space Prof. U.R. Rao, former Director of ISRO, and current Chairperson of the KSTA spend two whole days with us! He spoke a lot on using satellite imaging to solve the current agricultural crisis and also on the ISRO missions and how we could make Mars habitable! We had been host to the regional conference of the string of National Seminars on Ecology and Environment - Problems faced. A great many eminent speakers and a wonderful exhibition by our very own resident geniuses of PPC. The highlight reel was the scale model display of the PSLV, GSLV, Mangalayan and other satellites and their rockets straight from ISRO! Thanks to our very own Dr. AP Bhat sir!
