Its not really almost Halloween. People just dont learn. They are doing the same thing with holidays as they did with the housing market... sort of. The day after Thanksgiving is NOT the start of the Christmas season. The middle of September is not almost Halloween. They are artificially inflating the market by extending the shopping time through mass media flooding early on, and it gets longer every year. The difference between the housing market and holidays though, is its much easier to distinguish I cant afford that even if you sell it to me early from I can afford this for now. Dont fall prey to shifty companies who would have you believe the holidays are seasons. Teach your kids the real meaning of the holidays and their history. Teach them that its not about shopping.
