Its not really word by word...but almost :-) I didn’t know Rust before. With “Doctors, Lawyers, Strippers & Fools” the boys from Down Under prove that I had missed something. The four Oi-Skins have more to offer than just dull OiOiOi clichés. The album at hand gives an overview over the band’s history so far – they have been around since 2005. Besides two live tracks at the end of the album, the CD contains songs that have been released on various singles. And when a punk rock band chooses to include two unreleased tracks on such a CD, they at least hide “Sailors Grave” and “Azaria” in the middle of “Doctors, Lawyers, Strippers & Fools”. It is not only the different production (the sounds is always great) that makes the album an interesting one right up to the end. Rust particularly satisfy with Metal riffs and their variability. Take “Concrete Jungle” with its SKA parts or “A Shadow On The Pier”, when the guitar work reminds me of their fellow countrymen ROSE TATTOO. And the beginning of “Sailors Grave” sounds like a MOTÖRHEAD song. These three songs show the diversity of the band. Rust are really an enrichment and they deliver one of the best and most variable punk rock albums have listened to in a while. With that in mind it doesn’t matter whether you are Doctors, Lawyers, Strippers or Fools. If you like happy and at the same time aggressive music, then you should check out Rust. By the way, the band is planning a Europe tour in 2014. You definitely don’t want to miss this since we don’t know how long it’s going to take before the band comes back again.
