Its now Thanksgiving day and a week since I lost my Rylie, the sweetest dog anyone could ask for. We also got our first big snow fall of the season. Rylie loved the snow. She would run all excited all over the yard, then stop suddenly jab her face into the bottom of a pile of snow, followed by half or more of her body and then come bursting out of the snow pile and keep running. I still have one dog and 6 cats but the house feels so empty and sad without her presence. She was just such a happy soul with so much love. A coworker recommended I read a book called the art of racing in the rain I started it last night and so far its very good. Its about a dogs life from the dogs perspective. I recommend if you havent read it to give it a shot. Im not a huge reader but this book has grabbed my attention. Everyone keeps recommending I get another dog and It will help the healing but I get this guilty feeling when I think about getting another one, like somehow Id be betraying her and shed be mad at me. Maybe in a few months Ill be more willing to start looking but Im def feeling awful about the thought of looking right now. It still hurts like it did last week. God I miss her beautiful face.
