Its official! The City of Port Aransas has no clue how to maintain a beach or proactively use tax dollars to benefit its citizens. Today, in 50 degree temps, there are 2 maintainers (scrapers) scraping the beach in the roadway and at the waterline. The beach is dry and hard packed and no one is using it! Why would they waste our tax dollars using all that fuel and paying 2 people for this? Im so fed up with our city spending so much money on bringing more tourists into this town that have no respect for it and rolling out the red carpet for them. Then they stimulate our economy by wasting money to maintain the beach when it doesnt need it! Enough is enough! They wasted our money and ruined our beach all summer long and they continue to do so when there is not a reason in the world except spend money so they can budget that much or more next year. Put our money into a good use, City of Port Aransas! Rant over...
