Its official! Weve updated our name to DR. GARY TRACY OPTOMETRY & EYEWEAR (Previously: Dr. Gary Tracy Optometrist) Next up - a new logo, in the works. Why the revised name? To reflect two important developments to our business. First: to communicate that practice has grown. Dr. Tracy obviously is still The Man, but weve also got an excellent staff to assist him, including Optometrist Dr. Jocelyn Cercone. Hence, optometry vs optometry. Second: we wanted to better convey the fact that we carry great eyewear. Weve been a bit too quiet about that. Time to make that better known. Hence: & Eyewear. We considered other names, including Upper West Sight, but ultimately decided -- with help of input of our customers -- it was essential to keep Dr. Tracys name in the business name! As our customers told us: I like my care professionals to appear nonsense You dont want to lose Dr. Tracys name we like the prominence of Dr Tracys name His first name should be incorporated to reflect how personable Dr. Tracy is I believe that a brand based on a founder, or individual, should use that persons name. Dr. Tracy has to be part of the company name.
