Its one of those times of the year again. A birthday, on Thanksgiving, of one of the most important people in my life. Diana Laredo, daughter of Araceli and Armando Laredo, turned 18 today. I have been blessed with her presence in my life. She is a wonderful person, a unique soul. I told her a long time ago that one of her best qualities was that she knew how to be Diana better than anyone else. that may sound a bit odd, but its not meant in that context. Dee knows who she is, what she believes, and is very comfortable andIsecure in it. We have very different views on many things in life from the mundane to the massive. I don’t mention the issues because they are irrelevant to what makes her so valuable. What is important, is that she is passionate, informed, and secure in those views. At the same time she is always aware of others and is quick to defend or protect others. I think that is one of the noblest character traits to possess. Diana is a God gifted artist. whether in paints or pencils. She brings out the beauty of the world in her works. Dominic is the young man she has found to look at life with, a very good natured, kind, and intelligent young man. I am so proud of her. Her choices are thought out. she is kind to others, but is no pushover, she lives her values all the time, regardless if seen by others or when no ones watching. Happy Birthday Diana. Thank you for the honor and pride you stir in me. I love you very much and I am so proud of who you are.
