Its out! My contribution to Understanding Y, a collection of insights into the thinking, the behaviour and the prospects of and for the generation known as Generation Y. Published by Wiley this 273-page book with 15 expert contributors rrp $26.95 is out now in all good bookstores. My contribution is Chapter 1 The Enigma that is Gen Y. When a new planet is discovered an international astronomy body in Paris determines its coordinates and gives it a name (usually numbers and letters these days). But a brand new generation gets no such recognition. Perhaps that Parisian astronomy body could lend demographers a room so that they might pontificate on the coordinates, on the name and on the special qualities that make up a new generation like Generation Y.
