Its pretty unbelievable, but the rocket engines used in the failed Antares launcher were built in the 1960s for the Soviet N-1 moon rocket. All four times (!!!!) those rockets were launched, each one blew up on launch. Here is a video of one of those failed launches. The rocket ignites, get several dozen meters into the air...and then the rockets stops boosting, falls back to the earth and explodes. Hmmmm....now...where have I seen *exactly* that same thing recently? Let me think.... So, NASA will probably spend several MILLION dollars analyzing why the Antares rocket failed. Anyone else beside me think that all they ought to do is a Google search and save the bucks for the analysis?
