Its really nice to name your own hours, as I am directed to do where I work. I only work four days a week right now, but they are jam-packed, 12 to 15 hour days, and 1,500 miles divided between them, driving on the nations most populated and dangerous freeways, from the nations busiest airport. Couple that I am a world-class driver who has never had an accident in 43 years. Someone whose continuous precision in the lanes is as meticulous as a surgeons scalpel. Someone who makes your trip as gentle and lovely as hang-gliding, and is more entertaining and insightful than Jay Leno or David Letterman, and plays the music you have loved all your life and hardly ever had the chance to hear. When I am off, the first day I always feel like Im ready for a hospital bed. My demeanor can be very disagreeable the first day, as I feel disoriented and forget what being tolerant of petty mistreatment is about. Ive got to cut back to three days a week. If I decide differently down the road, I can switch it back. The tips are awfully good. I have my musical and writing career to aspire to as well.
