Its so important when you looking to buy or rescue a new dog for your family that you do some research on the breed, understand their history, temperament and what work is involved in having a happy and balance dog that fits into your family. We thought we would help with part of this process by sharing some info on different breeds, please feel free to contribute :) Below is the beautiful Samoyed, Sookie. Samoyeds are an ancient breed that originate from Siberia. They are believed to be one of the truest modern of dogs with no cross breeding evident. They were originally used for reindeer herding, pulling sleds, hunting and shepherding. Samoyeds are affectionate, loyal, gentle and intelligent. They are a working breed and are high energy, they are happiest when they are part of a family and have a Job. We are so lucky to have Sookie staying with us at the moment, she really is such a sweetheart.
