Its so weird.... I feel like so many people are thinking my big fears with aging are internal. The responses of condolences I keep getting are things like, Dont worry! Youre only as young as you feel! You LOOK amazing! Do people think my bones are breaking or I dont know I look younger than most 18 year olds? Thats not the problem. I have faced tons and tons of prejudice in my life, and really, the one thing that got me through it was being young and cute.- its my safety net. But aging brings along a whole NEW prejudice. Im not worried about myself. Im worried about AGEISTS. And as much as you can all sit there and say You look amazing youre so this... Youre so that... Now, everyone starts judging the way I live, the way I run my life, etc a thousand times more and all the people who thought it was young and cute before? Turn their nose to it simply because of a number. Im not ready to say my age and see those looks on peoples faces. This exists. Stop pretending it doesnt.
