Its takes the patience of Job to deal in a relationship in the capacity of a stepparent. When entering into a relationship where one or both partners have children can at best be challenging. This situation is a package deal because the partner along with the children must be accepted as one. Too often a parent will treat their biological children different than their stepchildren and in most cases it is blatant. If love for all of the children is not possible then it is best not to get into a situation as a stepparent. There are cases where one partner will resent and even hate their stepchildren and these feelings stand as a blockade from allowing just treatment to ever be meted out to the stepchildren!
