Its technically a new week - so heres another tune from Songs of Woe Flowers was written before the crowdfunding campaign for Woe commenced, in fact, it was written well before the album was even a concept. Id originally planned to do a short acoustic only EP, with Flowers, The Valley and a couple of other simple tunes and go for a Neil Young or Days of the New kinda thing - but it all came together as a rock record pretty quickly, and worked so well with electric and the groovy rhythm section that it made sense to include it on Songs of Woe, especially as its so polar to tunes like Gone Tomorrow and Songs of Woe. Its upbeat, but with lyrics fairly pertinent to my life at the time - its about springing back from disheartenment, Its also a bit of an ode to my Brother.
