Its time to simplify a bit. I took Facebook off of my phone and the 1 game that I had on there, Clash of clans. Ive changed my fitness goals and workouts a bit, tried delegating some things a bit more and pulling the reigns back on other activities that took a lot of time away from more important things. From time to time I have to stop, evaluate my priorities and ask, Why?, so that I can clearly see if anything is pushing into Gods place as God in my life. I have been asked to preach a sermon this Sunday. God has really opened my eyes to a HUGE foundational principle to living life as a follower of Jesus. I can see clearly a cancer-like problem in our culture and in the lives of myself and so many others. Rooting it out is simple, though not easy to do, and once it is done it needs to be maintained regularly. I just had a lot of spiritual attacks to the point of starting to get depressed. The more that I have dove into the Bible and spent time in prayer the better it has gotten. God never leaves us or forsakes us, but sometimes instead of continuing to walk with Him we can get distracted and busy smelling the flowers or the interesting things along the path. Hes been right here with me, watching what Im learning from the things that are happening around me. Some of it is good that I can apply to my walk, and some of it just needs to be dropped because it will weigh me down. Considering it pure joy… because it is leading to endurance.
