It’s a Wonderful Life in Seguin, December 6 & 7 - The Frank Capra Christmas classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” is a favorite movie of so many, and the little girl who played Zuzu—whose Dad, Jimmy Stewart held “Zuzu’s petals” in his pocket--stole America’s heart. This December, Karolyn Grimes, the woman who as a child actress played the part of ZuZu Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” is coming to the Palace Theatre in Seguin. Grimes, who travels the US giving speaking engagements each holiday season at historic movie theaters like the Palace, will tell her first-hand behind-the-scenes story of what it was like to work with Jimmy Stewart on this beloved film, and what it means to her to have been part of that legendary movie. Following Ms. Grimes’ presentation, “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be shown on the big screen. The film will be shown on Dec. 6 & 7. Grimes also appeared as the child star of “The Bishop’s Wife” with Cary Grant, David Niven and Loretta Young, so The Palace will also be hosting Ms. Grimes at special matinee showing of that film on Saturday, Dec. 7. Ms. Grimes will talk about her experiences working with Cary Grant, too. Following each film, Ms. Grimes will be available for autographs, photographs, a book signing and to answer any questions of audience members. Many families ask Ms. Grimes to sign ornaments for their children and grandchildren. “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be shown twice during the weekend, and “The Bishop’s Wife” will be shown once, during a matinee. Tickets are $20 for the evening events, and $15 for the matinee. A combination ticket to one evening event and to the matinee will be sold together at the discounted rate of $30 for both films. Ms. Grimes has also so graciously agreed to ride in the Christmas parade during the Holiday Stroll on Thursday, December 5. Please help us welcome ZuZu Bailey (Karolyn Grimes) to the Palace this December and show her that we all enjoy a wonderful life here in Seguin. · Friday, December 6 at 7pm It’s a Wonderful Life – Ms. Grimes opening remarks and film screening · Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2pm The Bishop’s Wife – Ms. Grimes opening remarks and film screening · Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7pm – It’s a Wonderful Life – Ms. Grimes opening remarks and film screening (final event)
