It’s been a few weeks now, and I am feeling better. It’s hard - TopicsExpress

It’s been a few weeks now, and I am feeling better. It’s hard to lose a close friend that I have known for my whole life. I don’t know if she was my mother or was just like a mother to me, but Peeps was the leader of our pack. I didn’t want to eat and I just moped around but I have moved to a different stage of grief. I can go on. I’ve had to learn how to be alone and make my own friends and decisions. So, I have made new friends. The other Shar Pei and I go outside and lounge around together. I am very lively and inquisitive but I don’t run or play. I explore. Yes, call me Dora the explorer! A fenced in yard is something I would like to request. I would blow right thru an electronic fence and gladly take the charge if it meant chasing a chipmunk, squirrel or should I be so lucky as to see a deer? I am very athletic, strong and quick. I like people but I would take advantage of children or anyone that moves slow. My foster mom worries about me escaping thru an open door so for my own good I need a family with top notch security to foil my escape. Again, nothing personal. Did I mention that I like to explore? I am about 5 years old and have a nice brush coat. I am little. Maybe 28-30 pounds? I am healthy except for my ears. Little canals that need to be cleaned frequently. I don’t mind if you put in medicine. I don’t really even mind a bath if the water is warm and the shampoo is scented. My feet are ticklish so I squirm with all my might during a nail trim. I’ve heard my foster family say some naughty words during the process. Ha! Peeps and I had a favorite treat and I still love it. Carrots are the best snack particularly if they are slightly chilled. Well enough said. If you like a shar Pei with a lively attitude and zest for life, I am your gal. My name is Squirty.
