“It’s easy to think that if you give a few words that don’t - TopicsExpress

“It’s easy to think that if you give a few words that don’t come to pass, you’re a lousy prophet or worse – a lousy person. This can create a need to tirelessly defend our prophetic words because our prophetic accuracy is tied to our value as a person. Wisdom dictates that we should not equate the performance of our ministry with the value of our personhood. If I allowed myself to be judged by all the people I prayed with who were not healed, I would be a considered a miserable failure in the eyes of all. But I don’t allow myself to be evaluated in terms of my performance in ministry. My value to society is not based on whether someone is healed or not or whether my prophetic word comes to pass. All of us will pray for someone who will die without being healed and everyone who gives prophetic words will have some that miss the mark. None of this means we are any less loved or valued by God.
