It’s hard to believe Super Storm Sandy barreled through here 2 years ago. Harder to believe is some of our Long Island family is still displaced. I vividly remember the fallen trees and debris as well as the gas lines and chaos at stores and shops across the Island. Being on the radio the days that followed was an experience not that far removed from that of 911. Long Islanders pulled together for each other in many capacities. Whether it was calling in to give a heads up on locations that had gas and water or someone just seeking some sense of solace and connection with the world outside of which they were trapped. Yes we got our collective asses handed to us that day but you know what, we did what we do and that is band together stand tall and help each other. The resilience and comradery of this wonderful community we call Long Island is what makes me proudest to live here. God Bless Long Island. We Rock! #LISTRONG - Fingers
