It’s hard to believe that 13 years have passed since the tragedy of September 11, 2001. The emotions of that day are still raw and vivid, and Karen and I extend our thoughts and prayers to those who are profoundly affected on this anniversary. We are thankful for the bravery of the first responders who gave their lives running into burning buildings to save others and to the everyday Americans who selflessly protected thousands by overtaking Flight 93. We are thankful for the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who fight every day to protect the freedoms that those terrorists tried to destroy. And we are thankful for the patriotism of Americans across this great country who on this day put their differences aside to stand strong and united. We will never forget the lives lost that day or the families that have been forever changed. God Bless America.
