It’s now the time to clarify the general misconception that a championship game is automatically a good game. Most of us have just seen Super Bowl XLVIII from the Big Apple. Everything was there for a really great game! The best offence in the NFL was there as was the best defense. The pre-game hype was there and also the perfect football weather. Everything was there except for the Denver Broncos. The fans saw the writing on the wall after less than fifteen seconds of playing time. I dare say it was the most one-sided championship of the modern era. It was more one-sided than the 1972 US presidential elections. Well, good or bad it is now in the history books and everyone (including me) can look forward to next season; new season, new chances. I was glad to see the Seattle Seahawks win their first championship and think it was richly deserved. Now that the season is over, the weather is bound to improve (regardless of what the overrated groundhog claims) and I can get some more reading done.
