It’s the baa-rilliant Bristol Wool Fair this weekend! From Friday 5th to Sunday 8th September, a celebration of all things woolly will take place on Clifton and Durdham Downs in Bristol (where commoners still exercise ancient rights to graze sheep!) The fair features sheep shearing, a “Knitathon”, duck herding, live music, knitting and felting workshops and lots of exhibitions and demonstrations, with a proportion of proceeds from the event going to Wallace & Gromits Grand Appeal. The Wool Fair team say: “We chose The Grand Appeal as our charity, because we wanted to find a great cause within the city to support. The Wool Fair organisers, David and Sarah, have a severely disabled son who received frequent treatment and good care at The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children in the past − he is now 27!” The fair promises to be a woolly good time − read more and get tickets: bristolwoolfair.co.uk/
