Ive always been a Dixie Dregs fan and admired Steve Morse. 30 years ago when this song came out I was enamored with it, but never truly understood the complexity of thought and technique required to conceive of something like this. 30 years later, I revisited this and I am FLOORED by the concept of an Evolving Arpeggio....a living chord of melody that flows effortlessly through a passage of music. There are many great guitar players....choose your flavor. And while I could never call ANY guitar player The Greatest, I can say that this is one of the Greatest Melodies Ive ever heard.
