Ive always been the first person to defend Québec and its people. But with what thats happened to me over the past couple of days I do not know if Im one if their people anymore. For example today I saw this really cute girl and I thought Id mention it to her. So I said it in English and French to cover my bases. Apparently I insulted her because I said it in English first and she got mad because I didnt say it in French first. Im completely blown away and have nothing to say that could defend her reaction. I dont know whats going on but the more and more Im finding the language issue really stupid. I just hope that meeting tomorrow goes well because so I can be told I can go home to the states where everything makes sense to me. If not that is 8 more years of hell for me. I wish I could renounce my Canadian citizenship and Im left wondering why I fought to keep my citizenship all those years! :|
