Ive always had a knack with animals specifically the ones that are deemed hopelessly gone... I think thats why I take in the ones nobody wants or can fix... goes for horses too... Theres this one... shes so afraid of people she wont go near anyone and you have to chase her to catch her... I stood at the edge of her stall with a carrot and just talked and watched her not moving. As I did this shed remain at the other end watching me... after a while she licked her lips took a step towards me then turn and stare at me... I see an animal that wants to be loved and apart of something.... I dont care if shes mine or not or will be sold but I will rehab her... she took a carrot from me tonight without hesitation and didnt move when I reached in (2 inches from her face mind you) and pet her stable mate... thats only my 3rd interaction with her and she gained allot of confidence theres hope.... all I want for her is to be loved... I dont know her past nor do I care what I know is she wants more and Im going to help give her that. Tomorrow Ill be taking a bigger step as my daughter does her riding lesson and Ill be moving her stable mate and going in her stall with her. Im so excited she took that carrot not a single bit of hesitation was a huge step
