Ive always hated keys. Once I was told very important people have the most keys. That couldnt have been further from the truth cause that would have meant that the janitor at Ogden Elementary School with a ring of a hundreds keys was the most important guy in the world. Note: Important people dont have keys - they have drivers, butlers and housekeepers to open doors for them and people get to the office before them and leave after them. I never aspired to all of that. But I really did hate keys and Ive done all I could over the years to minimize the use of them. I went so far as to have a locksmith key-alike my apartment in NY and Miami, my familys homes, and my office, so one key opened most of our doors. Often, as many of my friends know, I just left my door unlocked. And I always leave the key in the car. Once, I even created a keychain with color coded dots on a plastic plate, which I actually thought for a minute to market as a product for people like me who needed key-organizing. Keyless locks are definitely here and more coming soon. August locks look great but they are backordered by months. I predict a Google Nest keyless lock coming soon too and its only a matter of time before all doors are controlled keylessly. Why do I tell this story? Cause recently I moved, and instead of getting the universal key this time, I installed one of those push button locks for my front door. Now I dont carry one key. Im down to none. And its really nice. Family... get ready. Your keyless locks have been ordered!
