Ive always held Lohikan 89 as one of my top summers working at camp. But this past weekend changed all that ... and Im only doing a few per diem days at best!! Friday evening, my presence was requested at the mid summer banquet. The 3rd year seniors (for those that dont know, it was/is their last summer at camp) presented me with a gold retirement watch!! Their presentation said Doug, for being an all around role model, and a summer father to all of us, the senior boys wanted to give you this gift, to never forget the times you spent here, with us, the Lohikan family. How awesome is that!! Definitely put some tears in this guys eye!! My thanks and nothing but the best for these guys that Ive enjoyed being with over the past 4 or 5 years!! Stay in touch!! Jake Lamonsoff, Henry Zlotnick, Matt Long, Mike Zaccaria, Zach Solon, Justin Orenstein, Danny Sindoni, Josh Leibowitz, Alex Gleicher and all the other 3rd years ending their Lohikan experience. Remember ... Lohikan lasts a lifetime! You guys have an indelible place in my mind!!
