Ive barely had Bugsie a month and most of our experiences with people in public have been positive but the ignorance of some people is appalling! These are just some of the comments I have received already..... 1) Are you legally blind.....Are you legally stupid?. -____- 2) I saw youre leg move, you dont need that wheelchair!!! 3) Youre so lucky, you get to bring your dog everywhere with you...I wish I had a service dog! No you dont, trust me...youre a moron. 4) Oh, a service dog? What branch of the service was he in? (No joke, someone seriously asked me this...) 5) That poor dog having to work like that...how could you do that to him? 6) Whats wrong with you?!?!? ...Ummm, yeah. Because thats not rude.... 7) HELLLOOOO, I LLLIIIKKEEE YOOUUURRR DOOOG! Im not deaf people.... 8) My dog is like a service dog, she makes me feel better when Im sad. No, a service dog has to complete 1 or more tasks to help mitigate a disability. What you have is a pet. There is a HUGE difference! 9) Theres no such thing as a hidden disability! 10) But youre too young and pretty to need a service dog. 11) So like, whats your mental problem? Are you stupid? They were all rude and ignorant but the last one was actually the worst of them all in my opinion. And these were just a few of the comments Ive received...I just cant believe how dumb and insensitive people can be!
