Ive been accused of talking too much; looking at things too - TopicsExpress

Ive been accused of talking too much; looking at things too critically or processing things out loud. Its been suggested that in doing so, it can create challenges for others. Sorry if thats the case, but, its saved my life. Talking. Sharing. Discussing. For each person who has suggested that, there are a dozen more who have been in my corner, standing beside or behind me and shared their courage, strength and hope - and pulling from that, allowed me to talk; to process and to heal. That healing is what brought me here today...to tonight. To a place where Im alive, filled with gratitude (so ya, shout out to my people everywhere who have been there through gross, great and god-awful) and walking the red road; the good road. Im going to keep talking and Im going to keep encouraging you to talk. Im going to ask deeper questions that have meaning - of you, and of myself. Im going to keep doing it because, well, Im a public speaker by trade...lol...and most importantly, its what keeps us alive. Ive been inspired by the number of friends who tweeted and shared today, who have TALKED about mental health...and together that talk my friends will turn to action. And that action, will save someones life while keeping mine together. So ya, Im so not done talking...and finally I get to use the hashtag, #sorrynotsorry.
