Ive been given so much in my lifetime. I know life is so much more than material possessions, but this time living with most of mine in storage has revealed to me just how blessed that I am. Still, I find a conflict in me to be ungrateful internally and ungracious externally at weaker times. The reason does not matter, for I know that it is important to be grateful and gracious for what one has, no matter if it was earned, bought, or given as a gift. It is another temptation to believe that not everything has come from a outside source. But it has. For those of you that know and understand my position on faith, it is obvious to agree with the declaration that everything I have comes from God, and this is certainly not limited to material. I confess that some things have been pursued by my own selfish wants, and that I certainly have had the opportunity or temptation to behave like a spoiled kid at times. But the One who calls us to be gracious, merciful, kind, sacrificial and truly loving is more still than we could ever hope to be in this life and beyond. For those of you who may disagree or have your reasons to dispute my viewpoint, I respect your right to do so. I have been given plenty of reasons and information to stand firm in my own convictions, despite the occasional misstep, whether it is intentional or unintentional. No matter what we have, I believe that there is not a person on Earth that can effectively argue that they have not been blessed with more than they imagine or deserve, if they really stopped to consider it. This much must be true for us all. Also, as an unrelated side note, it is much easier to type furiously on a keyboard when one responds to the necessity of trimming ones fingernails. :) They werent too long, but now I know why secretary roles filled in the movie industry depict them sitting idle at their desks, except for admiring their hands. :)
