Ive been listening to the practice CD this week for the music we will be singing for the Christmas Concert at church in a few weeks. The more I listen to it, the more I get into the Christmas spirit. All evening, Ive been wanting to hear traditional church Christmas hymns. Maybe Im getting old, but those songs remind me of a simpler time, when things weret as busy. When Christmas was about the birth of a Savior and not how much money you can save on Black Friday. When Christmas was about the angel who told the shepherds some good news, and less about the angel on top of the Christmas tree. When Christmas was more about spending time with family and less about going to see the newest movie release. Things have changed significantly in my short time on this planet. Heres hoping the years ahead bring about change that is more positive, that points people to the true reason for the season.
