Ive been looking for swimming costumes that STAY ON while surfing... hard to find. I found some brilliant Australian brands, which I will share, but I came across Free Peoples new collection of surf gear today. And Im a bit weirded out. I wish they would work with people who understood surfing when they shoot. I was always taught NEVER to carry a board with fins down, as in this photo. There are also shots with models on surfboard doing really strange poses, which would look bizarre in the water. And while I think some of the collection is cool, it is outrageously expensive - and a custom painted board, sight unseen, untested for $4000+? No. Sorry Free People.
