Ive been mostly ignoring the Bankers Premiership for the last year or two, but Im still a radio news junkie so its hard to totally escape its dodgy billionaire moguls and marketing hordes. Isnt it amazing though that nobody has mentioned the fact that the reason things are a little bit different this year, that its a bit more open and competitive, might just be down to the fact that this is the first season in over 20 years that it has been played without its greatest midfielder ? He may not have been the greatest tackler of all time, but when you look at the tables he must have been worth at least 15-20 points a season.
