Ive been nervously awaiting to see whats going to happen to my health insurance. For you City of Reno Hometown Health. I received the good news. My premiums will not be increasing BUT my co-pays have been raised 400 & 500 percent. And to think I would have been happy with doubled! Im waiting for the shock....yes, shock....on the faces of those who realize this whole mandatory insurance racket isnt FREE. Many of these poor people are working payday to payday literally just for food & a roof (its those at the minimum wage and trust me that raising minimum wage is not the answer) Im seriously going to feel terrible when they realize that not only is it NOT FREE but they will be fined a minimum of $95 & still NOT be insured. I know there are millions who do not realize this yet . And the $295 monthly insurance premium that Destinee calculated on the Affordable Care act ( before the crash) even with government subsidies for the recommended top of the line silver plan . Has a $12,700 deductible with a 70/30 co/pay. I didnt dare look at the bronze plan cause I didnt want to see how much worse it can get. Im so confused with the rhetoric that the poor couldnt afford medical care when I knew from lots of personal experience ( through people i personally knew ) that they were already receiving pretty darn good care called Medicaid. Now the poor must buy insurance but honestly & truly cant afford it. And those that continue to choose not to work shall continue on with their free health care. And I already know its better than mine because they have no deductibles to be moaning & groaning about. If I had this insurance that Ill be getting in Jan. With all the medical procedure required this past year Id owe thousands of dollars & thats for ONE bad year. I cant even imagine 2 bad yrs in a row. What I am telling you all right now is not rumor, its not hearsay, heck its not even Fox News. Its a personal reality. Since affixing blame is worth more than perhaps finding a better solution. This blame game is gonna get interesting tho not at all surprising Anyone out there wanna tell me how great this Affordable Care Act is. Ill listen without argument if theyre true & genuine facts given. Ill be more than happy to share their news in my posts Heck I love good & accurate news! One last thing that nearly cracks me up but is in no way funny: ...... I get a free physical. I just wont be able to afford to get further n lab & diagnostic work. If something cones back irregular. I honestly dont like to get political on FB but there are so many of you out there still thinking FREE. Sad that choice has been taken away. And the kicker! The IRS the govt Agency that can take your house, your business , your card, any assets and EVEN your beloved & very much needed pension plans & social security!will be in charge of enforcing this adding insult to injury . Im sincerely asking someone to give me the good news side if the Affordable Care Act AKA as Obamacare. No difference, folks
