Ive been noticing more and more title loan/payday advance shops popping up in Southern Davis County. Not trying to sound snobby or elitist(because Im neither), but it bothers me. Not because of the stigma surrounding the demographic that frequent these places, but because it means more people are learning to live life outside of their personal means. I realize that sometimes these services are used because of unexpected medical emergencies, loss of work, or other extenuating circumstances. My question is, What ever happened to Save for a rainy day? I feel like its becoming commonplace to live very reactionary lifestyles, rather than living proactively. Its just a trend that I think is sad, and all around bad for communities and the people in them. -Thoughts from Sills Cafe
