Ive been painting today (the fancy wooden bit at the top of the bay window), now I have a dirty paint brush. Which is the least environmental damaging option? a) throw the brush away and buy a new one next time b) clean the brush with turps etc and pour it down the drain (not very good for the sewage works) c) clean the brush with turps etc and put the dirty solution in a jar (which would normally go to the bottle bank) and put it in the dustbin (so it ends up in landfill where it could contaminate the soil and eventually the water table) The type of paint I was using can not be cleaned off the brush with water (I do use water soluble paint for some inside jobs) Any advice?
