Ive been riding an Electric Scooter , ( Dont Laugh ! ) , since late 2001 and have Never , in all that time , paid a CENT for Gasoline ! I have managed to Consistently reach All of my Inter-City Destinations and as such have not been forced to pay for Transit fares either ! I am Healthy , Dont Melt in the Rain and can Dress for the Cold and Cover my Knees with a Blanket. Electric Vehicles , in ALL Forms , ARE the way of future Personal Ground Transportation ! Of this there is NO DOUBT !!! My Wallet can attest to That fact ! My Carbon Footprint is almost Non - Existent and The Total Cost for my Electric Adventures has not exceeded a few Thousand Dollars in 14 YEARS And that s just to keep the Batteries Charged and replace the Tires and Batteries as necessary. There are Few additional Maintenance Costs . I dont pay Insurance , Licence Renewal or Proficiency Fees and I have a Seat wherever I go ! I have long been an Advocate for the use of All - Electric Vehicles and Applaud Norway for showing that Full Sized Cars and Trucks Can Operate Efficiently and Cheaply YEAR ROUND !!!
