Ive been saying this from the beginning. I dont see the issue in Ferguson as a race issue, but rather a police issue. Being a police officer is one of the most honorable professions out there and I seriously commend those who risk their lives everyday to serve and protect their citizens. That being said, police today are too quick to jump to deadly force or to reach for their gun. Im glad to see that this officer did in fact have a body camera, and I hope that it provides more transparency into the investigation, but there is a reason I had to use this specific site. That reason is because the killing of this unarmed man has been completely ignored by major media outlets such as CNN. I read cnn every morning, and never saw a single article dedicated to this tragedy. They would rather turn the tragic death of Michael Brown into a circus of media coverage about race and oppression, rather than justice being served for the killing of an unarmed teenager. Nobody deserves to be gunned down if they are unarmed and not posing an IMMEDIATE threat of death or serious bodily harm, regardless of their race.
