Charley and Perry are investigating a death. This scene helps introduce Carl, one of the characters. “Detective Matthews?” Carl called from across the room. Charley turned. “Yes?” “You may want to take a look at this.” “What is it?” Charley made her way back to the body. “It’s a stamp. Club Debauch. I believe it is one of the new fetish clubs downtown.” A smile quirked her lips. “Really? And you would know this how?” Lowering his face for a moment, as a blush crept up his neck, Carl cocked his head to the side and met her eyes.“Would you really like to know, detective?” He placed the items from his spatter kit into the bag, watching her reaction.
