Ive been thinking a lot about the club ever since I heard about Mikes passing. This place intimidated so many from ever walking through the doors and people love to slam it even though they really never gave it a chance. Back in the day, I was a snobby goth kid who loved to torture the skinheads with my funeral dirge music (to quote Bill) but I always had some Oi! records in my arsenal to make the boys happy. I tell you, the Deadmen/Colorblind crew were a rowdy bunch but without them, the club just wasnt the same. The Foundation was definitely its own entity entirely; it wasnt Echos, Metropolis, Vatican, or Respectables. It was dirty, dangerous, unpredictable, violent and home to so many of us. In the years that this page went from MySpace to Facebook, it has only grown in size. Ive seen kids beat the living shit out of each other during our youth and now their kids play together. I know that I babbling here. What Im trying to say is that life goes by too quickly,if we dont stop and enjoy it, we may not get another chance. To everyone reading this: take care of yourselves...and each other.
