Ive been trying to figure out just where to start with an update from the NVSC competition this past weekend! Big shout out to trainer Samantha Barnes, she was a STAR - breaking her barrel and pole records for the THIRD competition in a row (all in 2015!) and winning 1st in the 1D by 2/10ths of a second. She was in the top 4 fastest times of the day in each event (45-50 riders per event!). Other riders beat their personal times again as well: Nekkei with an 18.088, so close to that very first 17-second run, and Makayla with a 23.2 in barrels (who also won 1st in the 4D too!! Surprise!). Logan rode in the Novice group and proved to be too fast - beating the break out times in two of the three events! Katie Z rode the challenging horse, Duke, for the first time and completed some very beautiful runs. Beccas horse was down for the day so she hopped on Rusty, who she hadnt ridden in over a year, and managed to pull the same times she typically runs - way to stay consistent on a horse you dont know! Erin rode well and her efforts are really paying off! She was competitive and had nice runs. Soon she will be on her young mare, Annie, and they will be one heck of a team! Trainer Katie got in rides on three different horses and will continue to school the three of them until they are right where they need to be! Congrats to everyone, we are so proud of you all! Pictures are on the Speedy Titan Facebook page. We will not have another gymkhana or barrel race until February, so enjoy the break and lets get some good ride time in so everyone is prepared to continue working towards their 2015 goals!
